HIS AND HERS

There’s a good story behind this dope Free People shirt. I originally bought it for myself; I loved the uniqueness of the pockets, the plaid cuffs and the frayed hem, as well as the rugged and relaxed look. But then decided to give it to my husband, the tag said medium but it was huge and the buttons dictated it belonged to the male species (the buttons were on the right side). Anyway I struggled with giving it up but eventually did. Fast forward 4 months … I had a meeting with a client and wanted to wear my Diesel boots – I typically dress from the bottom up – so I threw on some dark corduroy jeans and didn’t know what shirt I wanted to wear until I remembered the denim shirt I gave to hubby. I figured it wouldn’t fit, and although he hadn’t worn it yet, he washed it and hung it to dry and guess what? That bad boy shrunk just enough to fit me perfectly…thanks babes lol! The very best part of all of this is I bought this shirt for less than 80% of the original price, yup SCORE!!! I’ve always been a fan of Free People, I love the easy breezy bohemian chic look, and their fabrics are always so different and unique. What I didn’t know though was that they carry men’s clothing for women – Its not a men’s line per se, you can’t go on their website and select men, but if you search men or menswear, it pulls up women wearing men’s clothing. Neat right?! Well,  needless to say I’m super excited because I’m all about the casual relaxed look, especially when meeting clients and discussing wardrobe options for hours in their closets, I just wanna be comfortable. So thanks Free People, and thank you hubs ;)
